MC Man parris, one of the most sampled and respected MC's from the days of old kindly agreed to answer some questions for us here at Stressfactor radio. there are also some questions from other forums on here as well.





SF: tell us about how you got into the rave scene
Man parris: I got into the rave scene because I use to dj the rave music and mc over it so I got approached by promoters to do the same.
 
SF:when did you realise you had skills on the mic?
Man parris: I didn’t realise it other people did, but I use to really enjoy rapping on reggae in the old daze and just incorporated it.
 
SF: where did you get your inspiration for your rhymes?
Man parris: The music, and the vibe of the crowd.
 
SF: when did you realise you had became famous?
Man parris: When I was being booked for every rave in the uk, Agencies approaching me and Magazines wanting to interview me.
 
SF: did being a famous mc get you laid much?
Man parris: I hate to say it, but Yes!
 
SF: what rave blew you away the most as you was doing your thing? why?
Man parris: The book of love because it was for 15000 ravers come to see micky lynas get married, grooverider was the best man, the line up was the dogs bollox and me and Fabio smashed it.

SF: robbie dee had ratty, Conrad had bukem, who was your fave dj to mc for?
Man parris: Doc Scott /dj sy/stu allan/slipmatt/Fabio/ djs in that calibre

SF:are there any dj's that didn't want you to mc for them?
Man parris: Shit ones who don’t know what they are doing.
 
SF: are there any dj's you didn't want to mc for?
Man parris: Yes but I still did and done my job
 
SF: what is the future for amnesia house now?
Man parris: Amnesia is waiting for the right time.
 
SF: where are you now, musically?
Man parris: I teach music technology at derby university as well as djing and mcing. I am also starting an artist agency for the unseen hero’s.
 
SF: what are your plans for the future?
Man parris: To finish my album

Man parris: Only the time when some geeza all drugged up was standing next to me trying to say something then mc loud n nasty sez look down.... the geeza had his dick out, so I shouted securityon the mic they kicked him out good and proper!! that was at shellys.
